Hats & Hoods

It's fall, and while the days are still in the high 70s, mornings are chilly! Which means it's time to dig out the hats! Some of us are more thrilled about this than others. I've also recently finished a sweater for Hayden's new buddy-to-be (due in just a few weeks!), and Hayden was gracious enough to model it for us. He particularly liked the elfish hood. Never mind that I was trying for a newborn size and came out with this...it will still be a fine sweater whenever the recipient gets to wear it. (For any knitters out there who care, it's Elizabeth Zimmerman's tomten jacket, from Knitting Without Tears.) And Hayden was more than happy to break it in with drool and spit-up the moment we got him zipped into it! Next up: baby leggings to keep him warm for our birthday trip to Yellowstone in a week and a half.

Hayden did such a good job of breaking in our little one's new tomten jacket! We can't wait to show off a picture of our son in it! Thanks so much for the awesome sweater :)
