Trick or Treat!
What a day! It started with a costume parade at preschool, was filled out by a "free" day at swim class where the few kids in attendance (everyone else was downtown grubbing for candy) donned life jackets and tooled around the pool to their hearts' content, and ended with a visit to see our favorite librarian/witch and a bit of low-key trick-or-treating with Aunt Polly and Princess Ayden. (Actually, it REALLY ended moments ago with a three-year-old lying in bed saying, "Owwwww, my SIDES hurt!" but let's not talk about that.) Our neighborhood gets a ton of trick-or-treaters, so after his own excursion Hayden took off his antlers and helped us give out candy to the many witches, devils, angels, princesses, fairies, zombies, ninjas, and generally bloody/dead/creepy guys who rang our bell. In fact that might have been his favorite part of the day. All in all, it was a lovely holiday with just the right amount of spectacle—and sugar. (In reality, the bellyache came from guzzling a whole bunch of water just before bed. We didn't really let him get amped up on candy...just dehydrated.) Happy Halloween!

Sounds like a fun day. I love that he liked giving out candy and seeing everyone. I had exactly five kids, two very big high school boys all bloody and creepy, one little guy in camoflauge, and two of my great neices! I wrapped up everything by 7:30 and watched DWTS.
So cute mr moose! Jasper told me the other day that he "didn't see his friend Hayden for a long long time." miss you guys!
