More Holiday Fun

So. A few key lessons were learned today. 1) Kids really like candy. 2) Amy Rathke is a gingerbread genius. 3) She's also a genius at figuring out how Hayden can be most helpful with decorating (doorknob, lights), important because... 4) Turns out Mom can get just a little bit obsessed with details, and also kind of frantic about tiny hands knocking down potential masterpieces. Well. Ahem. Now we know, eh? 5) The presence of an actual carpenter may or may not be helpful in the making of edible houses. (Why yes, we do indeed realize the chimney is actually the size of a small gingerbread addition... which makes the woodpile behind the house look like a handful of kindling. But thanks for pointing it out, just in case!) Be merry. :)

Well but oh yeah, what if you have a really big fireplace, wouldn't you need a really big chimney!

Rowan says: What's inside? and What is Hayden playing with? I think he has designs on the peppermint candy :)
