Little Fish

Hayden's swim lessons just ended for the month. He's made huge progress since we started in October. He's all about going under and staying under now. Monday he swam (truly!) from the edge of the big pool out to a freestanding platform, then back again—by himself! And yesterday he jumped with gusto (that's right, gusto) off the diving board—a first since being lowered off it last summer as a not-quite-two-year-old. The timing is perfect, as we've got a paddling trip planned this weekend and he needs to test out his new PFD. Of course, we can only go canoeing if it stops snowing, but that's another story...
